At White Oak Designs, we talk to you about your web site in plain English, not in “geek speak.” And we’ll design your web site to be as professional as the company you run.
We use a User Centered Design approach to designing our web sites. We spend time with you learning about your business, and focusing on who your customers are. Only by knowing who is visiting your web site can someone create a web site structured to meet your customers' needs – with the content they are looking for – with as few clicks as possible.

After we meet with you and understand your needs, we'll give you a written estimate for the work. Below is an example of the typical cost.

Web Address (Domain Name) Registration and set up mailboxes |
- We'll search for available web addresses (domain name, i.e. www.yourcompany.com)
- We'll make suggestions and after you select your favorite, we'll register (reserve it for your company)
- We'll create up to 5 mailboxes for you with your web host (the company that makes you web site available to the world)
- You can select to have mail forwarded from that mailbox to another mailbox address OR we'll tell you how to set Outlook up to receive mail directly from that mailbox

Web Site Home Page |
- We'll create a placeholder ("under construction") page so that while we create your actual web site, your customers will be able to see your basic contact information
- 1st draft home page
- 2nd draft home page and at least one other web page
- 3rd draft of complete web site
- A maximum of one photo you provide OR a graphic we create on each page OR a stock photo we provide
- If you want to use Joomla for your web site, there is an additional cost to select the template (approximately $50)
- "Like Us" buttons for Facebook and Twitter. Other social networking buttons available for an addition cost
For all pages, not just home page:
- All content edited for correct grammar and punctuation (If you want us to interview you and write the content for a page, the additional cost is $50 per page)
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and registration with the top 3 search sites: Google, Yahoo/Bing, including adding your company to the search site's map if you have a physical place of business
- Approved web site uploaded to your web host
- If you want, a copy of all the web site files
